Painted Lines: My Final Major Project is inspired by the powerful energy of paint which I use to reflect the bold architecture of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks.
My initial starting point was inspired by the Indigenous Aboriginal culture of Australia, and their application of paint on both their bodies and in their artwork, which I found to be not only fascinating in its storytelling but visually inspirational and striking. I wanted to explore how I could replicate emotion and feeling in my use of paint and how it can be mirrored into fashion.
